Home Coming

Can you really ever go home?

Isn't it more likely that either you or home has grown.
That the air has somehow shifted and the sounds have all been sifted.

No, what I think is you can always go home.
That the place where you first learned love will always be there;
full of laughs and love and tears.
Full of acceptance and support and cheers.
Full of possibilities for greatness.
That place where your mother kissed your forehead for the very first time. Still there.
That place where your grabbed your father's finger with the whole of your hand. Still there.
That huddle where siblings plotted world domination. Still there. Still there. Still there.

Yes, the air may have shifted and the sounds were definitely sifted, but I promise you this:
You can always go home.
