We all know how they get it -- pizza and beer, rinse and repeat ... but hey, you don't have to kiss those glory days goodbye! There's always a chance for a great time and few extra pounds!!! lol

Alas I will not be able to make this event (Jesus may have turned water into wine but I do NOT think he'd miss bible study for a kegger) YOU on the other hand may be perfectly free and in the downtown Columbia SC area ... stop on by ... these art-lovin girls and boys are always happy to see new faces!

Viva La Vista!

This weekend is Viva La Vista! If you're in Columbia, SC be sure to run on down (literally if you like, it starts with a run!) to the vista. They'll block off the city streets for food and drink!! What more could you ask for?! Early Octoberfest beers and music I'd assume! Check and CHECK! (I apologize for the abuse of the exclamation mark - I can't HELP IT!!) The only thing that leaves much to be desired is standing in line for food and drink tokens ... gggrrrrrr ... well get your tokens early if you like from the following yummy places. All of these spot should have pret-ty crowded spots on the day of ... ... get to Cupcake early - they sold completely out last year!!!

Fashion Week 2011..12..11

So yes the time is upon us to think of all seasons simultaneously!!  Baseball, Football ... tennis! (tennis is pretty rockin' right now)

But no - those are not the season to which I refer good fellow - it's the last month of barbecues and summer beach trips, upcoming fall fashions already fighting for floor space at the mall and YEP - New York Fashion Week - Spring 2012!!

I honestly haven't caught much of it (these things called work, chores and basic cable are constantly cramping my style!) but I did drop into the New York Times to check out Vera Wang's offerings to the gods of excess ... unfortunately ... the collection wasn't to my liking ... MY liking ... I'm sure there are a vast multitude who have and will be fawning over it and it's mainstream offspring for months to come ...

Sometimes the only thing that makes it to Main Street are the colors. I am looking forward to those. .. pencil skirt in that yellow, button-down silk blouse in its print ... totally

Wrong Tax Bracket

Yes, I'll say it again. I was born in the wrong tax bracket. I wish someone would do the humanitian thing and rectify the situation. How can you sleep at night while I'm living in what might as well be poverty?!?

Okay I know that's just totally out of line. Okay, maybe not totally. There are worse things to say. But when I want to go shopping it's terribly clear that I don't have the right kind of money in the bank. This is what I want today. Thank goodness for pretend shopping.
